It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to drill, or aid or assist in the drilling, of any oil or gas well in the City of Haven, Kansas, or to erect or maintain, or aid or assist in the erection or maintenance, of any derrick or other equipment in said city for the purpose of drilling for oil or gas in said city, or for the purpose of producing oil or gas from any well drilled in said city.

Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum of not less than Ten Dollars nor more than One Hundred Dollars and shall stand committed to the City Jail until such fine and the costs of prosecution have been fully paid.  Each day that any drilling is done, or derrick or equipment maintained, in violation of this article shall be deemed a separate offense.
