A City-wide sales tax in the amount of one-half of one percent (0.50%) is established and commences on October 1, 2015. Revenue received from this sales tax will be applied to financing the cost of acquisition, constructing and equipping a Community Emergency Medical Service facility and necessary related purposes. The sales tax will expire and sunset on the date that is 10 years after it is first levied and imposed, if not sooner.
